It allowed me to make new friends, create peace in new and different ways and discover different traditions and cultural aspects from other countries. My favourite activity was the graffiti art as I got to work with another young person from somewhere else around the world and the activity gave me the opportunity to be creative and have lots of fun. I loved all the different sports and variations of games that we played which encouraged us to work in teams with people from other countries which built friendships between us. The global peace games made me feel incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to go and visit all the incredible memorials and have the incredible experience I was able to get, the games have helped me grow as a person and learn new ways that peace can be created in sports and games.<\/p>\n<p>-Sophie J<\/p>\n<p>The global peace games was a great chance to make new friends and learn about peace and how to create it. My favourite activity we did during the week was the clap game as it encouraged us to communicate and helped develop friendships through a friendly game and it was fun to play. I really enjoyed playing different sports as it meant that I got to work with people that I have made friends with at the peace village and the sports allowed a competitive aspect to the peace games. The global peace games made me feel honoured to be there and be given the opportunity to go and make friends which I am able to keep in contact with and I have learned new ways to create peace and my identity has changed as I was able to learn more about myself during the global peace games.<\/p>\n<p>I loved the trip and have made many new friends.<\/p>\n<p>-Aaron W<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.childrensfootballalliance.com\/football-and-peace\/uncategorized\/woodlands-school\/attachment\/cfa-peace-ride-logo-2_w300\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3645\">UPDATE: 18.02.19<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3645\" src=\"http:\/\/www.childrensfootballalliance.com\/football-and-peace\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/CFA-PEACE-RIDE-Logo-2_w300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"148\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A very successful Ride Challenge held at Basildon Sporting `Village yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to Management and staff at Everyone Active for helping with the preparation an organisation of the day.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.childrensfootballalliance.com\/football-and-peace\/uncategorized\/woodlands-school\/attachment\/peace-ride-challenge-red-team_300\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3651\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3651\" src=\"http:\/\/www.childrensfootballalliance.com\/football-and-peace\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Peace-Ride-Challenge-Red-Team_300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>136 Km on a bike and 50km on a rowing machine by 20 students from both <strong>Woodlands School<\/strong> and <strong>Beauchamps School<\/strong> to raise awareness for the ride. The press release carried the <strong>Just Giving<\/strong>\u00a0and <a href=\"_wp_link_placeholder\"><strong>CROWDFUNDER<\/strong><\/a> information in case any of the public would like to add to the venture.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.childrensfootballalliance.com\/football-and-peace\/uncategorized\/woodlands-school\/attachment\/peace-ride-challenge-boy_300\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3653\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3653\" src=\"http:\/\/www.childrensfootballalliance.com\/football-and-peace\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Peace-Ride-Challenge-boy_300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Stephen Metcalfe MP attended to chat to teachers and the students. He even maned one stage of the challenge on the bike.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.childrensfootballalliance.com\/football-and-peace\/uncategorized\/woodlands-school\/attachment\/stephen-metcalf-mp-on-bike_300\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3654\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3654\" src=\"http:\/\/www.childrensfootballalliance.com\/football-and-peace\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Stephen-Metcalf-MP-on-Bike_300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"170\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After the challenge was over &#8211; having taken four hours of hard physical work (and positively competitive) to travel the distance from Kent University to The Menin Gate, Beauchamps won the challenge just by 3 minutes. It was close all through the afternoon.
