2026 SOCIAL HACKATHON UMBRIA, left a living legacy in Cascia, Italy, with a Peace Pitch. Altheo Valentini signed the Declaration for Peace Certificate, which twinned a designated area of play with the Flanders Peace Field. Hackathon’s 10th Anniversary, witnessed 80 young hackers from 47 countries across 5 continents work together to produce and present innovative apps that will inspire a movement towards Digital Peace. The Digital Peace Makers focused on Peace With Oneself, Peace With The Planet and Peace Among People. The Children’s Football Alliance was invited to support the event and facilitate Peace Through Play Games, connecting a physical space with a virtual space and creating a positive mental health space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aldo Pergjergji, 2026 Social Hackathon Umbria (SHU), was presented with a Peace Poppy Ball by the Participants of SHU. The designated area of play is twinned with the Peace Village, Peace Pitch, Flanders Field, Belgium, site of the 1914 First World War Christmas Truces. The Digital Peace Makers for the Future thanked Hackathon at their awards ceremony for allowing them to display their talent for producing creative and innovative apps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SOCIAL HACKATHON UMBRIA 2026 a celebration of peace through play and creativity, will help develop sustainable annual peace events at the public event \u2013 Peace Village: Workshops, Performances, Stands and Markets open to the local communities and the participants. The International Children\u2019s Football Alliance supported the event by facilitating football for fun for everyone.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

SHU YOUNG MAKERS<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Young learners from 12 to 18 years old will join our challenge-based programme for the co-development of digitally enhanced solutions to transform Cascia in a more beautiful, sustainable and inclusive place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SOCIAL HACKERS FOR PEACE<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants over 18 years old will have the chance to join of the international teams who will cooperate for the development of digital projects supporting the SDG n.16 on Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions<\/p>\n\n\n\n
