GLOBAL PEACES GAMES WELCOMES HSSC, USA.

Hobe Sound Soccer Club is the first team from the USA to participate in this year’s Global Peace Games.   A strong historical connection with the club from Florida and Belgium exists through the relationship of veterans who attend HSSC commemorative soccer events.   CLICK HERE

WHEN THE KIDS ARE UNITED IN BELFAST.

Limestone United is set to extend its good relations campaign when it travels to Romania in October and connects its Peace Field Project with the Finding Hope Ministries, Str. Lunga nr. 96 Cisndie, Jud. Sibu. The Belfast team has been at the forefront, highlighting the power of sport utilising their peace pitch for cross-community relations.  CLICK HERE

AMBASSADOR FOR PEACE.

Hussainatu Suluka is the first Global Peace Games participant to twin a peace pitch in her home country of Sierra Leone with the Peace Village’s Peace Pitch in Flanders Field, site of the First World War’s 1914 Christmas truces.  Hussainatu played a key role in the 2024 Global Peace Games, which helped shape this year’s event.  Hussainatu said, ‘The GPGs experience was amazing.  I never met so many people from different countries at one event.  I learnt a lot about the importance of play, how it can transcend barriers and form lasting friendships.  I am looking forward to volunteering at this year’s event and supporting the participants.  CLICK HERE
