The UEFA Foundation for Children board of trustees held its twice yearly meeting at
UEFA headquarters last Wednesday. Chaired by Aleksander Čeferin, it decided to
allocate funding to 64 projects, as part of the foundation’s mission to defend
vulnerable children’s rights around the world so that they can look forward to a better
future.
Most projects use sport, and in particular football, to address topics such as access
to sports and recreation, physical and mental health, education, integration and many
other societal issues.
In accordance with the board’s decision, half of the budget is allocated to European
projects (28) and the other half to projects in the rest of the world (36).
