The birth place of Walter Tull one of the first black professional footballers who served in the First World War is the inspiration behind Folkestone Invicta v Bruges FC special needs match 1st September. Bruges FC twinned their peace pitch with Flanders Peace Field, December 21017 Team Bruges will present Folkestone Invicta with a peace poppy ball to commemorate the prestigious event.
