INTERNATIONAL

INTERNATIONAL PEACE FIELD PROJECTS

International Peace Field Projects connect a unique networks of: schools, clubs, teams, organisations, partners, charities, NGOs, volunteers, educationalists, facilitators, practitioners, peace makers, community leaders and everyday people, to the International Children’s Football Alliance.  The ICFA seeks to protect childhood through play and advocates, peace and equal rights for all.  The Peace Field Project commemorates wars and celebrates peace.  A designated Peace Field is an area of play – a monument to peace.    CLICK HERE TO VIEW MAP 

ARGENTINA

La Nuestra Futbol Feminino is a very special football club.  Against all the odds these ladies have created a football club to inspire girls and women’s football not just in Argentina but around the world.  They are the first female football club in the world to twin their peace pitch with Flanders Peace Field.  La Neustra Futbol Feminino facilitate all inclusive games for mixed ability players.  Their spirit is peace and harmony through football for fun.  CLICK HERE TO READ ARTICLE 

AUSTRALIA

Football United  was developed from a vision that people’s love for Football (soccer) can be used to build opportunities for belonging, racial harmony and community cohesion. Begun with a goal to support refugee and newly arrived immigrant youth and families in their transition into Australian society, as the program implementation progressed, Football United leadership noted that often community sport, as currently practiced, is exclusive rather than inclusive. BELGIUM

GroepINTRO Groep INTRO (GI) is an organization that aims to improve the social position of vulnerable people, both youngsters and adult. GI do this by empowering the individuals through group work and individual guidance. GI offer target group possibilities in different areas of their life: employment, vocational training, education (school), non-formal education (leisure), working experience in social enterprise and inclusive entrepreneurship. BOSNIA & HERZEGOVINA

A peace tournament will be held on the weekend of 1st June to 3rd June.  The tournament will raise money to provide Peace Field Project plaques which will twin the first ever peace pitch in Bosnia & Herzegovina with Flanders Peace Field, Messen, Belgium, site of the 1914 Christmas Truces. CANADA

The NCFA’s Peace Fields Project, Ambassador, Mick Gale presented Valour Patriots Soccer Club with their Peace Field Project Plaque, which officially twins the club’s designated area of play with Flanders Peace Field, Messines, Belgium, site of the 1914, First World War, Christmas Truces.  The ceremony was attended by a local City Councillor and a Member of the Legislative Assembly. Hollandia Soccer Club provides soccer programming for youth aged 5-18. CROATIA

Elementary school Veli Veli Vrh Pula is located in the town of the same name, Pula. The first school in the area began working in 1913 and records its work through several states. The school has been on several different locations until 2010, since when it’s on the current location. As a modern architectural work, the school was awarded with the World Golden Cube Award, which is the award for the most beautiful school building in 2010. CLICK HERE TO READ MORE

Elementary school “Fran Krsto Frankopan ” Krk – Branc school Baška.

CZECH REPUBLIC

Gesamtschule, Heiligenhaus and Woodlands School, Basildon, Essex, England re-enacted the 1914 Christmas Truces today as part of their commitment to The Peace Fields Project. The event was attended by special guest Alison Rose, British Ambassador to Belgium. Alison said, ‘It is important that young people learn about The Christmas Truces. GHANA

Of course football is a major unifying opportunity for both parties and the ‘First Shots Fired’ out of Africa story gives historic context to The First World War relationship that can bring both parties together over the Centenary Period to share in the spirit of the 1914 Christmas Truces. WA SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL.  Veronic Lewylillie is the Ypres Municipality North South Ambassador in charge of the Twinning (sister city relationship) with Wa in Northern Ghana.  Veronic and her team will be taking Peace Poppy Balls to Wa Senior School, Ghana as part of the Peace Field Project twinning ceremony.  Veronic collected the footballs at Menin Gate, Ypres and she said, ‘These footballs will bring a lot of young people joy in play and in peace’. HONG KONG

KOWLOON CRICKET CLUB are the first exclusive Peace Pitch in Hong Kong.  Twinning their designated area of play with Flanders Peace Field which makes them the first ever Peace Pitch in China is set to be a legacy that will welcome all communities to enjoy the facilities and nurture peace through play.  CLICK HERE TO READ MORE

INDIA

UNITED WORLD ACADEMY, BENGALURU is the venue for the first Peace Field Project (PFP) Peace Pitch in Bengaluru. Bengaluru Soccer Acadmey will facilitate the twinning event, 15-16-17 April 2025.  Special guests, Green Fields School and Swayam Foundation will represent the New Delhi PFP when they play football for fun games with the children of Bengaluru.  The event will celebrate peace through play in a packed programme of activities. CLICK HERE TO READ MORE.

GREEN FIELDS SCHOOL (PFP) is the first school in Delhi to twin their peace pitch with Flanders Peace Field, Mesen, Belgium. Their project received a boost from the English Premier League’s Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club when they donated kit to the young participants supported by the Swayham Foundation. The Wheeling Happiness Foundation and The Commonwealth Students’ Welfare Group of India, also played a key role in making the event very special.  CLICK HERE

ITALY

ENDAS ENTE NAZIONALE are an organisation implementing projects of National civil service, accredited in first class at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, National Office for the Civil Service. JAPAN

VENTFORET KOFU F.C. are the first club in Japan to twin their peace pitch with Flanders Peace Field, Mesen, Belgium, site of the 1914, First World War, Christmas truces. Ventforet Kofu is a Japanese football club from Kōfu in Yamanashi Prefecture. The team currently competes in the J2 League, Japanese second tier of professional football, hosting their home matches in the JIT Recycle Ink Stadium, located in Kōfu. CLICK HERE TO VIEW PAGE

GREEN SPORTS ALLIANCE , Japan focuses on grass roots projects and activities. 3 core values to visualize through the power of sports is (1) Environment designed between Nature and Society, (2) Bio (lives) connecting among Human Beings, Nature, and Society, (3) Peace. NEW ZEALAND

CROMWELL JUNIOR FOOTBALL CLUB.  Cromwell is a town in Central Otago in the Otago region of New Zealand. Cromwell is between State Highway 6 and State Highway 8 leading to the Lindis Pass, 75 km northeast, and Alexandra, 33 km south. SOUTHLAND FOOTBALL FOOTBALL CLUB.  Turnbull Thomson Park , Peace Pitch, 199 Islington Street, Invercargill, 9810, New Zealand, is the first ever club in New Zealand to twin their peace pitch with Flanders Peace Field. Mesen, Belgium, site of the 1914, First World War, Christmas Truces.  The total number of New Zealand troops and nurses to serve overseas in 1914–18, excluding those in British and other forces, was 100,444, from a population of just over a million.  CLICK HERE TO VIEW PAGE

NORTHERN IRELAND

Derry City Football Club play at The Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium. in The League of Ireland Premier Division. Founded: 1928 The Candystripes are in the process of becoming the first ever professional football club in the Island of Ireland to twin their peace pitch with Flanders Peace Field. Cregagh Green is where Best, renowned as one of the greatest ever footballers, first flashed his meteoric talent as a schoolboy in the 1950s.  It is situated in the east Belfast housing estate where he grew up.  It is the first pitch in Northern Ireland to twin with Flanders Peace Field, site of the 1914, First World War, Christmas Truces. SCOTLAND

Beeslack Community High School was established in 1984. It serves the northern tip of Penicuik and its surrounding areas. Our current role is around 750 pupils. The Denis Law Legacy Trust (DLLT) is a registered charity that operates and delivers a number of ‘free to access’ programmed and positive destination activities that enable young people to take part in and gain access to sport and other creative activities within their local communities.

DLLT aim to reduce instances of youth crime and anti-social behaviour; promote health and wellbeing and encourage inclusivity through sport, physical activity and creative endeavor.

DRAGONES de LAVAPIES.  Dragones prepare to be the first ever club in Spain to twin their designated area of play with Flanders Peace Field, Mesen, Belgium.  Dragones is a highly diverse club of 200 kids plus 60 adult footballers (40 women 20 men) from more than 40 national backgrounds. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

MAKO SOCCER CLUB was born in 1991 as The St. Lucie County Soccer Club. The founders at that time did not like the direction that local soccer was headed. They were looking for a program that emphasized youth development in a family friendly environment. They believed that the love of the game is nurtured at an early age and must be properly developed. Game results did not matter. Making the game “Fun” was paramount. With their goals and missions in mind the founders formed the new St. Lucie County Soccer Club.a medium sized non-profit Soccer Club serving the Bainbridge Island WA community and attracting players from around the Kitsap Pennisula.  We offer a range of programs and competitive levels at all ages.  At BIFC we believe soccer is about doing things properly.
