International Peace Field Projects connect a unique networks of: schools, clubs, teams, organisations, partners, charities, NGOs, volunteers, educationalists, facilitators, practitioners, peace makers, community leaders and everyday people, to the International Children’s Football Alliance. The ICFA seeks to protect childhood through play and advocates, peace and equal rights for all. The Peace Field Project commemorates wars and celebrates peace. ARGENTINA
La Nuestra Futbol Feminino is a very special football club. Against all the odds these ladies have created a football club to inspire girls and women’s football not just in Argentina but around the world. They are the first female football club in the world to twin their peace pitch with Flanders Peace Field. La Neustra Futbol Feminino facilitate all inclusive games for mixed ability players. Football United was developed from a vision that people’s love for Football (soccer) can be used to build opportunities for belonging, racial harmony and community cohesion. Begun with a goal to support refugee and newly arrived immigrant youth and families in their transition into Australian society, as the program implementation progressed, Football United leadership noted that often community sport, as currently practiced, is exclusive rather than inclusive. GroepINTRO Groep INTRO (GI) is an organization that aims to improve the social position of vulnerable people, both youngsters and adult. GI do this by empowering the individuals through group work and individual guidance. GI offer target group possibilities in different areas of their life: employment, vocational training, education (school), non-formal education (leisure), working experience in social enterprise and inclusive entrepreneurship. A peace tournament will be held on the weekend of 1st June to 3rd June. The NCFA’s Peace Fields Project, Ambassador, Mick Gale presented Valour Patriots Soccer Club with their Peace Field Project Plaque, which officially twins the club’s designated area of play with Flanders Peace Field, Messines, Belgium, site of the 1914, First World War, Christmas Truces. The ceremony was attended by a local City Councillor and a Member of the Legislative Assembly. Elementary school Veli Veli Vrh Pula is located in the town of the same name, Pula. The first school in the area began working in 1913 and records its work through several states. The school has been on several different locations until 2010, since when it’s on the current location. Gesamtschule, Heiligenhaus and Woodlands School, Basildon, Essex, England re-enacted the 1914 Christmas Truces today as part of their commitment to The Peace Fields Project. The event was attended by special guest Alison Rose, British Ambassador to Belgium. Alison said, ‘It is important that young people learn about The Christmas Truces. WA SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL. Veronic Lewylillie is the Ypres Municipality North South Ambassador in charge of the Twinning (sister city relationship) with Wa in Northern Ghana. Veronic and her team will be taking Peace Poppy Balls to Wa Senior School, Ghana as part of the Peace Field Project twinning ceremony. GREEN FIELDS SCHOOL (PFP) is the first school in Delhi to twin their peace pitch with Flanders Peace Field, Mesen, Belgium. Their project received a boost from the English Premier League’s Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club when they donated kit to the young participants supported by the Swayham Foundation. VENTFORET KOFU F.C. are the first club in Japan to twin their peace pitch with Flanders Peace Field, Mesen, Belgium, site of the 1914, First World War, Christmas truces. Ventforet Kofu is a Japanese football club from Kōfu in Yamanashi Prefecture. CROMWELL JUNIOR FOOTBALL CLUB. Cromwell is a town in Central Otago in the Otago region of New Zealand. Cromwell is between State Highway 6 and State Highway 8 leading to the Lindis Pass, 75 km northeast, and Alexandra, 33 km south. The total number of New Zealand troops and nurses to serve overseas in 1914–18, excluding those in British and other forces, was 100,444, from a population of just over a million. MAKO SOCCER CLUB was born in 1991 as The St. Lucie County Soccer Club. The founders at that time did not like the direction that local soccer was headed. They were looking for a program that emphasized youth development in a family friendly environment. They believed that the love of the game is nurtured at an early age and must be properly developed.
