
Swindon Town Football Club Community Foundation will auction a signed football shirt to raise money for the THIS COUNTERY v THAT COUNTRY charity game (date to be confirmed).

The club’s community foundation will be laying a peace poppy ball at the Last Post, Menin Gate, Belgium, after the game.

The pitch twinning ceremony will take place at 12pm where Simon Stevenette Swindon Town Club Chaplin will say a few words. The event will be covered by BBC Wiltshire Radio. Jon Holloway, Head of the Foundation, will sign the Peace Field Project’s (PFP) Declaration for Peace. The PFP plaque will be presented by Paul Cooper, NCFA Director. A game of football will take place on the new peace pitch after the ceremony.
Jon Holloway will then represent the Foundation at the THIS COUNTRY v THAT COUNTRY charity football match which raises money for under privledged children to participate at the 2020 Global Peace Games. Saturday 28th March.
As well as helping to fund raise Jon will also represent the Foundation at TC v TC charity match weekend. He will perform the honour of laying a Peace Poppy Football at The Last Post, Menin Gate, Ypres, Belgium.
