





NK Peroj FC hosted the first friendly peace game against Elementary school Veli Veli Vrh Pula on their newly twinned Peace Pitch. Twinned with the Peace Village Peace Pitch, Mesen, Flanders, Belgium site of the 1914 First World War Christmas truces.






Before the first-ever peace game in Peroj, a commemoration was held at the local church, where members of the community and the football club paid their respects to the war dead.
A Commemorative Peace Poppy Ball was presented to NK Peroj by Igor Jovanovi, Head of History Teacher, Elementary school Veli Veli Vrh Pula and International Peace Field Project Ambassador. Elementary school Veli Veli Vrh Pula was the first Peace Pitch in Croatia and along with Elementary school “Fran Krsto Frankopan ” Krk – Branc school Baška, NK Peroj is the third Peace Field Project Peace Pitch in Croatia and joins 80 International Peace Field Projects Peace Pitches on 6 continents, advocating Peace Through Play.
